The accountant of the company I work at came into my office for some business. She was about to repay me a bill that I financed for the company. Here’s the written documentary of the transaction:

Woman: That’s 19,575.
Me: Okay, here’s 20,000.
Woman: I’ll be right back with the change. Need to go to my office first as I don’t have a calculator with me.
Me: Err?
Woman: I’m not an expert in mental arithmetic.

Just because your favourite artist creates a side project where he uses saxophone and other gay instruments and not all the songs have blastbeats and growling, it won’t make his new album a progressive avantgarde rock masterpiece.

Transatlantic Beardfish

The comeback album of Transatlantic, an international supergroup with Dream Theater’s main man behind the drumkit, has just been released. It is widely known that Mike Portnoy likes Swedish progressive rockers Beardfish. He even picked them for the American leg of this year’s Progressive Nation Tour, which fell through in the end due to the bankruptcy of SPV, distributor and owner of Beardfish’s record label InsideOut. Mr. Portnoy goes further showing his appreciation for the young Swedes on the aforementioned Transatlantic record where he plays a drum groove pretty similar to one from Beardfish’s “Sleeping in Traffic, Part Two” album.
